SarahHallDay5“Day Five” Hear It!

Genesis 1:20-23 NLT:

Then God said, “Let the waters swarm with fish and other life. Let the skies be filled with birds of every kind.”  So God created great sea creatures and every living thing that scurries and swarms in the water, and every sort of bird-each producing offspring of the same kind.  And God saw that it was good.  Then God blessed them, saying, “Be fruitful and multiply. Let the fish fill the seas, and let the birds multiply on the earth.”  And evening passed and morning came, marking the fifth day.

See It!

Look carefully at the painting.  Read the text out loud.  Talk about what you see.  Count the fish and birds in the picture.  How many different colors of fish are there?  Of how many different kinds of birds can you think?

Say It!

Memory Verse:

Genesis 1:31 “God saw everything that he had made, and behold, it was very good.”

The Little Caterpillar

Author Unknown

Written out by Chandi Plummer

Little Caterpillar climbing up a tree,

He looks at you, he looks at you,

and then he looks at me.

I put him in a little box.

“Don’t go away,” I said.

But when it opened up,

He was a butterfly instead.

Now I could never make one,

Not even if I tried.

‘Cause only God in heaven

Can make a butterfly.

Do it!

You will need:  Day 2 booklet, cut-outs of birds and water creatures from a magazine, a pencil, a black permanent marker, scissors, and glue sticks.

(1) Use a stencil to trace the number “5″ on white construction paper, and cut it out.  Paste the number “5″ on the back of the Day 2 booklet.

(2) Past cut-outs of birds onto the light blue (sky) section of the Day 2 booklet.  Paste cut-outs of water creatures on the dark blue (waters) section of the Day 2 booklet.

(4) Write the words, “And God saw that it was good” on the front of the booklet with a black marker.  The resulting booklet shows how God filled the sea and sky with birds and water creatures.
