October Is Pastor Appreciation Month. What Will You Do?

Sojourn has been gifted by the Lord with an incredible team of pastors (and ministry leaders) who seek to lead us forward in ministry & mission. And make no mistake about it they are “gifts” from Jesus, our Senior Pastor.
Paul made it very clear when he was speaking with the Ephesian elders in Acts 20:28 that it is God who appoints elders among His people, and He does so that His church might be built up in the gospel and protected from enemies and false gospels. The question is:
- How can you, your family, ministry team or Community Group demonstrate your appreciation for one or more of Sojourn’s Pastors during the month of October?
- How can you creatively encourage and bless one or more of the pastors which God has so richly blessed us with?
Think through it with your group, and determine to do so in a very tangible way before Pastor Appreciation Month is over. Here’s the list of Sojourn’s current and emerging Pastors:
Daniel Montgomery – Teaching Pastor
Mike Cosper – Pastor of Worship & Arts
Chad Lewis – Pastor of Group Life
Robert Cheong – Pastor of Care & Counseling
Daniel Ems – non-staff Shepherding Elder over Southern Indiana
Rob Plummer – non-staff Shepherding Elder over St. Matthews campus

Check out what others are saying about this post...[...] Our pastors Daniel Montgomery and Mike Cosper have been working hard to prepare this coming Sunday’s sermon and worship liturgy. If you didn’t know, there is much more that goes into a worship service than simply writing down a few scriptures on a notepad and thinking of a few stories to tell. There is much more to it than simply thinking of a few songs to sing. The pastors and their assistants spend a lot of time each week to prepare for Sunday. And we should celebrate this during Pastor Appreciation Month. [...]
